With fantasy football season over and real football coming to it’s close, the time has come to begin delving into 2013 fantasy baseball rankings. Over the next couple weeks while we wait for pitchers and catchers to report, I will be posting positional rankings for fantasy baseball. This is the first set of rankings for catchers. You will probably notice several things that are in line with other rankings from other sites and a few things that are very different. Salvador Perez should be a catcher to target in snake and in auction drafts as he will go much later and cheaper then he should. If Perez had played the full season and not suffered a spring training injury last season, he would not be able to be had this cheap. I have Brian McCann slightly higher in my rankings than the consensus available at FantasyRundown.com . I believe that he will have a bounceback season in batting average after suffering through a career low .230 batting average as well as career low .234 BABIP. Those are two players that I will be targeting in the later rounds of my drafts as we go through the motions of mock drafts until pitchers and catchers report. Until then, please leave your thoughts and criticisms/questions in the comments.

Salvador Perez is my poster boy for catcher strategy in 2013.
