College Basketball Lineups 3/7

joe-harris-111412

There are six games on the slate for tonight, and with those six games comes a ton of potential for fantasy success. My advice for the night: Avoid the Big 10. The teams playing from the Big 10 tonight are all grind it out, slow it down, half court teams. Not good for fantasy points or entertainment value.

F. Willie Cauley-Stein
F. Alex Poythress
F. Akil Mitchell
F. Eric Moreland
F. Arsalan Kazemi
G. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
G. Joe Harris
G. Roberto Nelson
G. Ahmad Starks

Willie Cauley-Stein is always a good play since Nerlens Noel went down with a knee injury. Akil Mitchell and Joe Harris have been playing on another level lately. Look for this to continue tonight against Florida State. Oregon State isn’t a good team by any means, but they have some very explosive players who can win fantasy games for you. And finally, play Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. The dude can flat out score.

College Basketball Lineups 3/4

There are only three games on the slate for fantasy college basketball today, so we’ll make due with what we have. Also, this is my first ever lineup for Daily Joust; We’ll see how it goes.

Fanduel:

F. Jeff Withey
F. Chane Behanan
F. Dejan Kravic
F. Kevin Young
F. Cory Jefferson
G. Ben McLemore
G. Travis Releford
G. Russ Smith
G. Cashmere Wright/Peyton Siva

Kansas has a very favorable matchup with Texas Tech. Normally, I would avoid a blowout like this, but KU is at home and Bill Self will leave the starters in for most of the game to put on a show. Cory Jefferson should have a good game inside against a Texas team that can’t seem to get anything going this year. And Peyton Siva and Cashmere Wright are a toss-up. Both putting up similar numbers for the exact same price. Can’t go wrong with either.

Daily Joust:

C/F. Jeff Withey
F. Cory Jefferson
F. Kevin Young
F. Titus Rubles
F. Chane Behanan
G. Ben McLemore
G. Brady Heslip
G. Peyton Siva
G. A.J. Walton

Fanduel Daily NHL Fantasy Lineups, February 16th

If you aren’t taking advantage of these lowered prices on Fanduel, you must hate making money. As I always mention, Daily NHL Fantasy is a highly volitile game, but if you use my lineups, the research provided at The Fake Hockey and Fantasy Trade 411 , you can make some serious money playing the low risk, high reward games. What follows is the lineup that I am using for today’s Fanduel contests.

Daily NHL Fantasy Lineup:

LW Wayne Simmonds
LW Cory Conacher
RW Jakub Voracek
RW Martin St. Louis
C Steven Stamkos
C John Tavares
D Kimmo Timonen
D Lubomir Visnovsky
G Viktor Fasth
After returning from concussion, Wayne Simmonds has continually been a solid play, providing scoring bunch for a Flyers team trying to rebound from a tough start. Cory Conacher, Martin St. Louis and Steven Stamkos all represent the same principles. On nights when Sidney Crosby isn’t playing, Stamkos is easily daily NHL fantasy’s go to player. While the Lightning have been slumping over their last several games, for their available price in combination with going against a team that is ranked 22nd in goals against and 26th in Penalty kill percentage, you need to get these guys in your lineup. Visnovsky remains a bargain due to the fact that he just recently entered the league after a holdout with Islanders management. Fasth has been an absolute beast in goal and faces a Nashville offense without much punch. As always, contact me in the comments below! I’d love to see what lineups you guys are  using, or if you are just using these optimized ones.

Daily NBA Fantasy Lineups 2/12 for Fanduel, Draftday & Daily Joust

Kevin Durant provides some star power to your daily NBA fantasy lineup.

Randy Foye can provide some bargain points for your daily nba fantasy lineup.

I had an incredibly busy weekend so there were no lineups for Saturday, Sunday or Monday. Here are 3 lineups for Tuesday, as always leave your comments below.

Draft Day:

PG Russell Westbrook
PG Randy Foye
SG Klay Thompson
SG Jerryd Bayless
SF Kevin Durant
SF Metta World Peace
PF Earl Clark
PF Lebron James
C Jonas Valanciunas

Fanduel:

PG Russell Westbrook
PG Jerryd Bayless
SG Randy Foye
SG James Harden
SF Kevin Durant
SF Michael Beasley
PF Earl Clark
PF Kenneth Faried
C Jonas Valanciunas

Daily Joust:

PG Russell Westbrook
PG Earl Watson
SG Jerryd Bayless
SG Randy Foye
SF Kevin Durant
SF Chandler Parsons
PF David Lee
PF Earl Clark
C Jonas Valanciunas

Nice mix of value with Earl Waton, Valanciunas and Bayless in these lineups which allows star power. The way that I have tended to approach daily nba fantasy lineups has been to get as many bargains as possible while getting the top 2 or 3 players at a position into your lineup.

2013 Fantasy Baseball Rankings for Outfielders

2013 fantasy baseball rankings

Mike Trout tops the 2013 fantasy baseball rankings for outfielders.

To finish up the 2013 fantasy baseball rankings for position players, I have meticulously ranked outfielders. Always a tricky spot with clear cut talent at the top and good ball players in tricky situations in the middle. My #1 2013 fantasy baseball rankings player is an outfielder, Mike Trout of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. After Trout comes the usual suspects, Ryan Braun, Andrew McCutchen, Matt Kemp, Jose Bautista, all the way down until there is a real break at around 17 where Matt Holliday gives way to Alex Gordon in 2013 fantasy baseball rankings for outfielders. If you start your draft with Trout and have anyone from Bryce Harper to Jacoby Ellsbury as your second outfielder, your team will be very strong. You don’t come to look at 2013 fantasy baseball rankings to be told that Andrew McCutchen and the Upton Brothers are good, however. There are a few targets throughout the 89 ranked outfielders that intrigued me, given their potential price tag.

2013 fantasy baseball rankings

Andrew McCutchen nears the top of the 2013 fantasy baseball rankings for outfielders.

In addition to my previous favorites, Martin Prado and Mark Trumbo, there are several other players I like. Initially, I have Yoenis Cespedes ranked higher than my fantasy industry compatriots. In only 129 games, Cespedes banged 23 homers and swiped 16 bags. Getting a potential 20-20 player outside of the top 10 is an absolute steal and will allow alot of teams to get a #1 outfielder at #2 outfielder price tag. None of his numbers scream regression to the mean and there is potential for his 14.6 HR/FB% to improve. In addition to Cespedes, I have Ichiro Suzuki ranked relatively higher on my 2013 fantasy baseball rankings outfielder big board. There is some thought out there that Ichiro will pop a few more homeruns to the short porch in New Yankee Stadium. Even if he doesn’t do that, playing in a more hitter friendly park, with an improved lineup, Ichiro will return top 30 value. Chris Young presents an excellent value; if one of Cespedes, Josh Reddick or Coco Crisp gets injured, Young will immediately gain his status as a top 35 outfielder back. While he will murder your batting average, his counting stats can be had for a steeply discounted price. As the preseason goes on, I will publish more thoughts on outfield targets.
