What is the absolute best thing a wide receiver can do for you fantasy team, or their real football team? Score touchdowns, obviously. In order to score touchdowns, a player must be efficient in the redzone. That means converting a high % of their targets into touchdowns, as well as not making mistakes such as dropping the ball or incorrectly running their route in that crucial area of the field. We don’t have access all of that information, but we can look at what every player with 10 or more targets did with said targets. The TD% number found in the chart is simply touchdowns divided by targets, providing a clearer picture of efficiency.

Quick Notes
-Eric Decker and James Jones did the most with what they got. They both posted unsustainable catch percentages inside the 20 and touchdown percentages that are pretty unlikely to repeat.
-MIke Crabtree scored on 50% of his redzone targets. Just think about that. Without that his knee injury, we’d be talking about a WR that had a real shot of finishing top 5.
-Sadface Tony Scheffler.
-Tony Gonzalez, always the model of consistency, got 16 redzone targets and scored 8 touchdowns. I like looking at data like this because alot of the time they are able to confirm what our eyes see, or tell us that what we think we are seeing isn’t actually happening.
